It's hard to tell from your screenshot, but it might simply be that your 
virtual res is too big for your actual res.

ie, if you've a virtual res of 1200x1024 and a physical res of 800x600, you'll 
only get part of the screen at a time.

Does your screen scroll around with the mouse?

You might want to look at setting/changing the 'virtual' setting in your 
'display' section.

Try pressing ctrl+alt+keypad '+'/'-' to switch actual res.  The virtual res is 
set for the lifetime of the server.
