I think I can enter that "appropiate data" in xf86PciInfo.h for it to work. If just somebody could tell me how to. What can I do with 'scanpci -v' output? Is that output related with the data I should put in xf86PciInfo.h? (I suppose it is ;) , but how?)Thanks!

There were some back in XFree86 3.3.6, but nobody seemed
>interested in porting these to XFree86 4.0. You'll probably have
>to go back to XFree86 3.3.6 if you want native XFree86 support for
>that card.
>
>http://www.xfree86.org/4.1.0/Status7.html
>
> Another option would be to see if there is kernel framebuffer device
>for that card and try using the fbdev driver with a later XFree86
>server. You should probably do a Google search to look for other
>options.
>
> Mark.
>
>On Mon, 23 May 2005, Patricio Martinez wrote:
>
> > I need some support help, according to the message I get when I run xf86cfg:
> > "
> > XFree86 has found a valid card configuration.
> > Unfortunately the appropiate data has not been added to xf86PciInfo.h.
> > Please forward "scanpci -v" output to XFree86 support team.
> > "
> > I send some attatched file with some outputs:
> > scanpci-v.log : 'scanpci -v' output
> > -var-log-XFree86.8.log : 'xf86cfg' output
> >
> > Further detailed information:
> > Using XFree86 Version 4.1.0.1 / X Window System
> > on Debian GNU/Linux 3.0,
> > graphic card: avance logic 1MB (pretty old, is this the cause of the
> > failure?)
> > Pentium MMX 200MHz, 128 MB RAM
> >
> > Thanks!
> >
> >
>_______________________________________________
>XFree86 mailing list
>[email protected]
