Not many commits have been flowing in for a while now. Does the community feel that progress cannot be made? We have not made progress on getting 1.1 formally released, and I’m a bit disappointed. I feel like every one is just as busy as I am and we none of us have much time to contribute.

That's more or less it: unfortunately our biorithms don't quite match and it seems that we can't manage to have more than one committer active at the same time. Until a few time ago I was trying to resurrect the project, proposing release plans and asking for people to work a bit more on the project, to no avail. I wish you better luck and, for one, I'm willing to contribute as much as I can.

I know this may be a bit hasty, but something has to be done. If any of the other committers want to chime in, please do so. I’m open to ideas on reinvigorating the project. I, myself, have just enough time in the day to visit bugzilla, apply a patch, and commit it to cvs.

Fair enough, little is much better than nothing, and if all of us had a few time to donate to the project we will sure make some progress.

Ciao,
