I would respectfully request that you do not 'destroy' it from the cvs repository...in case it is revived in the future.
There is the legal issue to account for. Either it is sorted out, with an official software grant to the ASF (and the guys behind it wanted to do so) or there is really no choice but removing every reference: the ASF is not authorized, as of now, to hold and redistribute third party software in source form...
