I've written a full text indexer that builds a Lucene index. That all seems to work fine. Now the hard part: what should the API be for querying the index? I can't find a spec for XPath full text queries although there is this document:

which sets out a few requirements. Any thoughts?

Andy,

Just wondering two things:

   1. how's your progress on the Lucene-based full text indexer for
      Xindice?
   2. do you have any plans on releasing this work into either the
Xindice code base or separately? (if so, I'm hoping it's under
      a non-viral license...)

I'm currently investigating adding searching capability to Xindice
1.1 and while I can do certain things with the existing XPath
features, something like Lucene would certainly add a lot more
functionality.

Thanks,

Murray
