XIndice as Servlet

Hi, is there a possibility to run the whole xindice as servlet in tomcat engine? the idea is to host a wepapp using tomcat and xindice but all providers i found only let me install some servlets to their server. so an own java process seems to be impossible. when i could convince xindice to run as servlet my problems would be solved.   thanx seb
