Hey Thomas,

From looking at this, I imagine that it is still picking up the incorrect version of Xerces, but I did as the readme suggested and copied the jar file from the %XINDICE_HOME%\java\lib directory into the %TOMCAT_HOME%\lib directory and restarted the server. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You probably *don't* want to do this when using Tomcat 4. It doesn't have the classloading issues that Tomcat 3 does. The root cause exception you're getting isn't even in any Xindice code, so I'd suggest the Xerces jar you copied from Xindice is clobbering Tomcat's JSP code.

Restore %TOMCAT_HOME%\lib to how it was when you first installed Tomcat (assuming you just installed Tomcat to play with Xindice), ensure the Addressbook war has been copied to %TOMCAT_HOME%\webapps and restart Tomcat. Provided Xindice is also running properly, the Addressbook should work just work.

HTH,
Mike.
