If you
are starting Xindice with the script/batch file "xindice start", then the web
container used is Jetty, which means (by default) that it is listening to port
8888. On the other hand if you deployed the war file on a Tomcat installation,
then it will be listening to port 8080 (by default). Both mentioned cases are
valid for the 1.1b / cvs version. Port 4080 only work with version 1.0 in which
Xindice has its own web server (neither Tomcat or Jetty).
