I have now managed to install Xindice 1.1b3 and to deploy xindice.war to Tomcat 
5.0. (getting: This
is a ugly debug tool)

However, I cannot find much documentation among the distribution files despite 
from some XML-files
(xdocs). How can I read this documentation?

Could you please supply a link to a page describing how (or if) system 
variables are set up using
Xindice 1.1b3? I cannot get the command line tool to work.

Do you know if the tool XML:db GUI should work on Xindice 1.1b3? I have changed 
the conf.xml file to
1.1, but gets "Error during connection: null"

You are reading 1.1 documentation and using 1.0 version. Xindice 1.0
never had a WAR file. Xindice 1.1 does not have idl directory.

For 1.0 documentatation, see "1.0" tab on the website.
For 1.1 version, download Xindice 1.1b3.
