Actually, it's ubuntu 7.10. The '10' is for 'October'.
You need 'universe' enabled in /etc/apt/sources.list.
Then do "apt-get build-dep xlog". This will install everything you need
to build xlog 1.5.
Now unpack the xlog tarfile, configure, make and make install.
Might want to think twice about using the build-dep option, or at least
review the output of apt-get before you proceed, as you never know
beforehand what packages are going to be installed and/or removed to
satisfy dependencies. Could muck up your system if you're not careful.
