Look, if this was an M$ software probably it was a 9.5 version :)
XMail is more than ready for production use and my intention is to branch
somewhere around 0.70 into a stable version ( that will have only bug fixes )
and a new developer version with some ( _not_ many ) new features, IMAP among
them.
About stability You can ask to guys onto this mailing list.
At work, inside the server room, i've a Linux installation with XMail with an
uptime of 122 days right now.
More, between sendmail/qmail/exim/postfix XMail is the fastest MTA with the
same configuration ( static relaying ).
If future changes will break existing installations, I'll do my best to make
this to not happen.
If in the past some changes were needed, it was very little.
About stable release, I'll never issue a stable release. Do you consider bind
or sendmail stable ? someone find security holes and bugs in these software
every month, even if i think that they're pretty available for production use.
About help, yes i like to have the tools section of XMail filled of useful
tools ( configurators, installers, external modules, ... ), that are what makes
a mail server more usable.
