If you use custdomains you only have update the fallback if you add/delete a
domain from your main server. aliases and users are checked hen the mail
arrives at the main server.

This is much more complicated then you think! I think that the fact that you
have to update both a main as a fallback is just a small hassle, and it is
something that can easily be automated by a script. To have xmail handle
this is automagically by quering the dns is to much, but I could be wrong.
