Quick question, though I should know this.... When securing a XMail host running 'nix. How is allow/deny access to XMail ports controlled outside of XMail? hosts.allow/deny is only for deamons, right? so implying rules in hosts.* have no effect on access to Xmail ports.
If above is true, what are the other options? snort? The only reason I ask is I'm seeing an increase in port scans and attemps. My paranoia level is getting out-of control....
