Hi Michael,

I'd suggest starting from scratch and work your way back up.
Did you try to telnet your machine on port 25 (smtp port or outbound)& 110
(pop3 port - mailbox access)?
Is your network fully configured? Can you query DNS & nameservers & MX
records?
Does your ISP allow you to send out mail directly (and not -like most
cable-guys do- prohibit trafic to port 25 extern from their local-loop).

If all this sounds a bit obscure or unfamilliar, give a yell and i'll start
accepting your checks (hihi - just kidding - I'll try to help you step by
step).

Frederik

PS: Happy new year guys ;-)

That's the thing; I did not change any of my settings. It worked one day and
then it stopped. Would it help if I send you my *tab files? I didn't want to
post it to the entire group, IYNWIM...
And yes, authentication has been set - again, everything was working just
fine until I did the server rollback. But what I rolled back was way after I
set up and configured xmail....
Anyway, I'm kind of stuck, so if anyone has any ideas, I would be very
grateful (short of sending out checks though ;-)

For sending make sure that you have send authentication turned on in
your e-mail program. For received make sure that you don't have any
smtpauth enabled in your xmail server. Use the default xmail config and
empty the smtprelay.tab file. Then just add your domain and user
accounts and you should be running again.
