Found out the problem. As I was out of the office I asked the guy to = check him mail box on the server. He had been sending it to two email = addresses that went to him. He was getting 4 emails in out look though. I just got = him to turn his rules off and the problem is solved. Outlook was doing = something weird by making 2 copies of each email even though there was only one on = the server.
Outlook also times out when connecting to the mail server sometimes. = Quite strange as most of the machines in the office are connected to the same = GB switch. There is also only a few hundred email a min. I figured it was = an outlook problem. Man I hate MS's email client software sometimes. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] = On Behalf Of Alex Young Sent: 15 October 2003 09:08 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [xmail] Re: Double emails No. They are delivered directly to the server through SMTP. Its also not = =3D an Outlook problem as I check the mailbox folders and can confirm they = =3D exist as doubles in there. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] = =3D On Behalf Of Davide Libenzi Sent: 14 October 2003 19:26 To: XMail mailing list Subject: [xmail] Re: Double emails On Tue, 14 Oct 2003, Alex Young wrote: > This problem seems to be when email is sent to an alias of an=20 > account=3D20 it then puts two messages in to the end recipients = mailbox. > > Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
