This problem occurred in my side maybe because of big e-mails in the folder (a least after I have deleted them without restarting it solved it). Now I wonder if you connect to often to a POP3 account does XMAIL fight this by locking the account momentarily? Anyway I have many users that ask us what they can't retrieve their messages when others can, without any good reason and anything else to do than restarting XMAIL to solve it.
