OK, I've got it to work.
The mistake I made is that I did not create the user properly.
I created the entries in mailusers.tab manually.
Hence, I did not get the encrypted password correctly.

Now, I used the mkusers.exe utility and it's working.
However, the following is not working:

E:\MailRoot\bin>ctrlclnt -s 10.0.0.35 -u test -p 0000 useradd mydomain.com
test2 1111 U

I get the following error message:
    ErrCode   = -148
    ErrString = Controller response error
    ErrInfo   = Bad controller login

Can someone tell me why?

What is the proper/easiest way to create users?
