I hope these questions help you: Have you set the "-SI ip[:port]" command line switch? You don't need to. Have you configured a firewall on the laptop? Is it correct for your friend's LAN? Have you tried to run "telnet localhost smtp" from the laptop? Has it connected? Have you run "netstat -lnt" on the laptop? Does the result show "tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:25 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN"?
