From what I've seen on my server, and from what I've read on this list, it seems that XMail only checks mailbox quotas on a RCPT TO command at SMTP time. This means that mailbox quotas are ignored when PSync'ing; when delivering to mailing list members; when delivering from a (l)redirect in mailproc.tab; when LMail'ing; when DSN'ing; possibly in other cases.
