Well there you go - you learn something new each day!! I always thought that SMAIL was local (inbound) delivery. I have located "SMTP" entries and can see they are what I'm looking for.
One thing I searched for in the smail logs was evidence of retries/rejects - but it seems to only list successful outbound SMTP emails. Davide, can you confirm this is the case? However your response to Soenke (below) suggests otherwise. Thanks Rob :-) _________________________________________________ Note To Self: Remember to put something witty here later... -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Davide Libenzi Sent: Thursday, 22 June 2006 4:41 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [xmail] Re: 450 4.7.1 error, retried every ~15 seconds >On Thu, 22 Jun 2006, Soenke Ruempler wrote: > >> On Tue, 20 Jun 2006, Rob Arends wrote: >> >>> <OT> >>> Davide, what, if any reason is it that there is no outbound SMTP log? >>> </OT> >> >> You mean, the SMAIL log? :) >Maybe he means something like also logging failed SMTP delivery attempts in SMAIL log?! ;-) > >-soenke > There's already a thorough log inside /smail/ for that. - Davide - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe xmail" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For general help: send the line "help" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
