I've just installed 1.24 on Linux. It seems to start
up OK. Now I'm trying to discover server.tab
variables. I fiddled with HeloDomain but observed no
effect in HELO/EHLO response. What string does this
parameter change?
The doc is very scarce, yet confusing sometimes, such
as the explanation for SmtpServerDomain of server.tab:
"If set, forces the domain name XMail uses inside the
ESMTP banner used to support CRAM-MD5 ESMTP
authentication."
What's this trying to say already? Isn't this just
about the domain announced in 220 greeting? What's use
of extending the statement with "...used to support
blah blah"? Also, why the term "banner"? It's referred
to only as "greeting" in rfcs.
There're a number of typos like drooped->dropped,
variabiles->variables
