The best way to use assp is like so

*For imcoming mail*
Outside sender/Server => inet => assp => xmail

*For sending*
User interface (webmail/outlook/etc) => assp => xmail => inet => remote
server/user

Assp works like a transparent proxy and can be setup such that no one would
be wiser that its even there.
