do anybode know why there is such a huge impact of artwork (especially
with bezels)?

compiled with USE_Xv=1
options: -xv -fullscreen -gkb 1942     --> ~20fps
options: -xv -fullscreen -gkb -noart   --> ~58fps
options: -xv -gkb 1942                 --> ~46fps
options: -xv -gkb -noart 1942          --> ~58fps
options: -noxv -gkb 1942               --> X11 error: XvBadPort

compiled regularly
options: -noart -gkb 1942              --> ~58fps
options: -gkb 1942                      -> ~35fps

does anybody has same experiences?

shouldn't be the bezel a static bitmap where the game output is just copied
in? it seems to me, that foreach frame the artwork is copied again in a
bitmap.
