It's all a matter of perspective, someone putting forward a point of view is only FUD if you disagree. The suggestion that MAME should become GPL because the current license isn't good enough could also be considered FUD. If moving to GPL actually gave MAME something then I'm sure it would switch. Nicola didn't want to move to CVS, so sourceforge isn't really a problem. People violate the GPL as much as the MAME license. Also there was no GPL code that needed to be linked into MAME. On the other hand, sourceforge don't seem to care anyway as they host at least two versions of MAME. Admittedly they probably don't know that the code is not GPL'd, it's real easy to relicense someone elses work without their permission.
