It looks like the change to src/unix/video-drivers/x11.c is *causing* the
input focus problems some people are having.
I have never had any problem running xmame fullscreen until now (FC3 with
X.org 6.8 and Metacity 2.8) but as of 0.105 xmame has no input focus when I
start it fullscreen, and it doesn't come up on the alt-tab list either.
Removing "winattr.override_redirect = True" from x11.c (essentially
reverting it to the previous version's behaviour) fixes things.
I suggest reverting the change to x11.c, since it doesn't really fix the
Metacity 2.14 problem (forcing the window on top doesn't do much good if it
has no input focus), and anyway that problem has been acknowledged and fixed
from GNOME's end, as Frank has pointed out.
