Another porduct to look at is the Gentran NT system from Sterling commerce.  
It will convert any type of EDI to any XML structure you need and it will 
convert any XML structure to any X12, EDIFACT, or other EDI format.

It can also convert XML to IDOCS or any other type of flat file format.

In addition, it can take XML and update your SQL or Oracle database directly 
or pull data from you MSSQL or Oracle database and generate XML documents.
