Title: RE: Mercator

I have to wade in with my good friend Robert here - this forum is the ideal place for testimonials on software, from both users and manufacturers.  The more a product is touted to the group, the more chance there is of real scrutiny of the product (seeing behind the smoke and mirrors), and sharing experiences from those who are actually using a product in the field.  Isn't this exchange of information what this forum is about?

    Bonjour! (Hi! in French)

Sorry I disagree.  Testimonials can be very helpful when coming from users
    of a product.
Of course sale speech from software manufacturers should not be allowed
except if they inform us of the existence of a product.

    Thanks,
