There is an old joke, "How can you produce an objective report if you do
not know the objectives"
Yesterday I was at the Internet World 2000 in Sydney and no one knew any
more than me and I do not know anything ;)
There are several rules for vendor/product selection
1. Always use the latest version for testing.
Since these products are generally evolving quickly and new features /
bugs are added constantly.
2. There is always a better version / product available next quarter
If you wait you will never choose
3. Who gives away the best t-shirts/ coffee cups / bags etc?
A joke (almost)
4. Will the vendor / product exist next year?
a) Choose IBM / HP / SAP etc
b) Use Open Source - My preferred solution
Lastly I would like to congratulate Mendelson in releasing m-e-c Eagle
as an Open Source product.
Way to go Leo.
