Hi Bill:
You are experiencing a common problem. Not all parsers
are compliant. Fortunately NIST (National Institute for
Standards and Technology) have stepped up to the plate and
are beginning to do conformance testing. This is a major
step towards compliance.
I would recommend James Clarks XP (www.jclark.com).
James writes the best parsers 'known to man'. XP has a
SAX driver that works with XP (I personally haven't used
the SAX component, however, I think it is safe to trust
it).
