In speaking with the majority of our customers and reading the trade rags
the desire to keep B2B projects moving forward by the largest 1000 companies
seems to be continuing. Urgency is another matter. I think caution is there
and the need to integrate e-marketplaces with their EDI programs is
important. The "build it and they will come" is being replaced with solid
business approaches to electronic exchanges between businesses and the
increased need for solid ROI before investing large sums of money. Hope this
helps. Also, I believe the figures show that while 50,000 or so internet
jobs have been cut another 100,000 plus have been added.

Subject: Any slowdown ?

Hello Everyone !

Today was yet another down day on NASDAQ.
Lot of my friends in B2B world have started to worry about their jobs and or
disappearing stock options. My assertion is that the B2B infrastructure
is embedded so deep in the organizations that any commitment by the
management
is relatively long term and strategic in nature.

I would welcome comments from anyone on this subject. Specifically, would
like to poll other members on the following questions:

1) Are you feeling spending pain in the B2B projects ? If not, why not ?
2) Do you think the urgency to build B2B exchanges has slowed down over the
past 3 months ?

Thanks
Vikram
