Now that Alan has apologized .. for the incident .. the best way to continue
is to return to the proper discussion topics for this arena .. sml/edi-group
. and consider this incident closed .. There is no reason for anyone to
continue with this thread..

I totally agree. This is not a forum for petulance and obscenity. With the
clear exception of this one "bad egg", this group is comprised of EC
professionals interested in advancing and sharing knowledge concerning our
common endeavors. I consider this list a valuable tool, where a broad array
of IT experiences can be shared and insight can be gained. This is a
privilege and since this individual has abused this privilege he should not
be afforded the knowledge base that this group has to offer. He, clearly,
has nothing to contribute and doesn't belong here. I would urge DISA to
please remove him from this list immediately, before he chases off the
people who make this list the valuable tool that it is!

Subject: Where is the sysop?
I have been a silent participant keeping up with XML initiatives through
the xmledi-group email chain. I have been doing EDI for several years
and am trying to learn about XML and the possible relation between the
two. Until today I have been excited about the XML news and the
willingness to share information...even with competitors.
The following email was received this afternoon. My question: Where is
the sysop? My first impression was that this was a group of
professionals interested in moving xml forward. Now, I'm not so sure. Is
there a way to remove people from this service when they are less than
professional? If not, please remove my name from your email list.
Thank you,
