Isn't MQ Series required on both sides?

Yes, it can be used to send EDI data between partners. You will have to
punch holes in your firewalls
to create queue channels. You can plug in any security package as MQSeries
only provides a
user exit for you to hook in your encryption.

Does anyone know if IBM's mqseries can be used to send data between
partners? If so, do you know how it secures the data?
