keyPressed = you press on a key on your keyboard. Example: F1, HELP, A, Z. If, for example, your keyboard has no HELP key, you cannot use the corresponding keyPressed element. charTyped = you type (i.e. input) a character using a possibly complex combination of key press and release. Example: 'a', 'A', 'z', 'Z', ?, ?, ? (last example: on my keyboard, this means press and release Left Control, then press and release S twice!).
