Hi Hussein, > If you come up with a great idea, we'll > implement it (but remember that XXE can only include elements, not text).
That was my next question. :) In the absense of being able to copy-and-paste simple text, I realised I needed to wrap my list of variables using a "lowest- common-denominator" element. (This was after I used <wordasword> as the wrapper, and then found I couldn't use that element as a reference within a <command>element.) Do you have any suggestions? I've looked through the DocBook reference, but nothing springs out as the obvious choice. >You don't like what we did and you don't like what did >Claus, so I'm really curious Oh, I'm not adverse to the copy and paste method myself here.... the problem is that our docs here have a lot of conditional text of fine granularity (single words as opposed to sections, for example) as our documents are hugely customised (for example, particular customers wanting us to use the name "foo" for a widget rather "bar"). Perhaps this is something people writing in DocBook avoid (we're new to all this). Thanks for your help, -pm http://oceanclub.blogspot.com
