hello, I have been evaluating XXE v3.0 for use as the editor for a set of product documentation (currently in Latex, being converted to DocBook). I am very impressed with the quality, features and flexibility. However, one small point poses a large obstacle - support of entities (used as text macros): <! ENTITY product "<productname>The Product</productname>">
XXE substitutes the entity reference &product; with the replacement text, thus losing the whole point of using macros. Use of macros is such a fundamental feature, I am wondering whether I haven't missed something. I can't imagine that a professional editor does not support this. Please tell me there is a way to do this, I would really like to recommend XXE to my customer. thanks in advance Chris Clark
