No, there is no search/replace command. This feature is planned for V2.11.

No, add-ons can be used with free Standard Edition.

The Standard Edition license mainly forbids extending XXE to connect it 
to the information system of the enterprise.

A few examples:
* posting documents to a CGI,
* saving documents in MySQL tables,
* automatically generating sections using content queried from a database.

The add-on developed by Martin clearly does not belong to this category 
of extensions.

If the license (http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/license_std.html) is 
not clear enough on that point, we can reword the "Restrictions" section.
