Hi, I'm using XMLmind for writing publications that uses characters such
as mdash, ndash, curly quotes etc. When encoded in UTF-8 everything is
fine but if you use the US-ASCII encoding (which I would rather do) I
have the following problem.

I have a section with publishing charaters in it, and on its own there's
no problem. Then if I create a new chapter and insert a reference to
the section once again at first there's no problem and the document is
valid, but then if I close the chapter and reopen it it comes up with an
error and says the document is invalid because of reference to undefined
entity "mdash" or similar.

Do I have to define all the characters I need to use?

I have attached an example of the problem and I'm using Professional
Edition V2.5p2 on a linux os.

Thanks for your help,
Dominique
