Hi,

I received the same error on document referencing in my main docbook
document.
Until I upgraded the XXE to 2.5p3 this did work fine for me, but now I
get the same problem - the system finds the document; it includes it
while referencing; but once I close and try to reopen it; it gives a
parse error, saying that the entity is undefined. It does not matter
whether I reference it by clicking on the browse files icon and then
select it or type the relative name using ../dir/fname.xml to include it
- in both occasions it works to include the document but after saving
the main document is not usable anymore (until I remove the reference to
the chapter in wordpad).

Also, a useful improvement would be a refresh or a "reload"
function/button - once you change documents which are referenced, you
have to save them, save the referencing document, close and reopen that
for it to contain the updated version.

Mvg /Best regards,
Martine Thijs

Hello,

when you click an element in the node path bar, the following items are
displayed:

Insert Same Element After [Ctrl-Click on name]
Insert Same Element Before [Shift-Click on name]
Delete Element

See User's Guide, page 39.

The German translation of these items is wrong.
It contains Ctrl-Click in both cases.

------------------------------------------------------------

I have read and followed the XXE tutorial and find it very instructive
and helpful. I have to say that I like XXE better every day.

However, I noticed a problem after I inserted a document reference. See
page 35--37.

Everything works as described. But after saving the file, I cannot open
it anymore because the XML file is not valid. The document reference is
represented by an entity (in the last line of the file), but this entity
is not defined in the document.

Is this a restriction of the Standard Edition, or is it a bug?

Kind regards,
Henry

Hello,

I think that the following suggestions would improve the XXE Editor:

a) The "File" menu should offer the item "Revert to Saved"
(I use this often in Adobe FrameMaker and Photoshop)

b) In the "Options" menu, there should be a dropdown list for
the interface language (i.e. the language used for menus etc.)

Thanks to your quick answer, I have now been able to switch my system to
English menus. This is much better! But it should be more convenient to
select the interface language in the options menu.

Kind regards,
Henry
