DocBook 4.2 is a bit easier to customize for certain purposes.
The parameter entities that are used for local costumization has
been cleaned up a bit. For me this meant that adding an XInclude
element at appropriate places were much easier.

BTW, don't assume that higher version number implies bigger
or more complex DTD. The complete list of changes since 4.1.2

In many ways just a bug-fix release. The most interesting
