I remember you very well.

No there is no work underway but it is too early to start localizing XXE
V2 to German: XXE V2 is not even localized to French.

Please wait until it is localized to French. This would give us the
opportunity to improve the localize tool to fully support incremental
localizations i.e. if you localize V2.0, you expect to do very little to
localize V2.1. (Note that this cannot be the case between XXE M1 and XXE
V2 because XXE V2 is a complete rewrite.)

Standard Edition can be used free of charge with the almost the same
very liberal license than XXE M1.

Professional Edition sales should allow us to finance the free Standard
Edition.

Today Standard Edition and Professional Edition have 99% common code.
Therefore we would like to use your new localization for Professional
Edition as well. We really hope that you'll agree on that.

Please also note that we definitely prefer not to have Standard Edition
available in German and Professional Edition not available in German
(because it would give us more work).

PS: Contributors like you will, of course, be offered a Professional
Edition License if you need one. This also applies to Brian Lalonde
(DocBook style sheet), Jesus Redrado (localization to Spanish) and
Zdenko Podobn? (localization to Slovak).
