You cannot insert a chapter immediately after a para. Please select the appendix below the para (e.g. click on "Appendix A" then use Ctrl-Up until the node path bar shows you that the appendix is selected[*]) and use "Insert Before". Alternatively, select the chapter containing the para (e.g. by clicking on word "chapter" in the node path bar[*]) then use "Insert After". *Everything* works like this in XMLmind XML Editor. I thought that was clearly explained in the tutorial. --- [*] There are many different ways to select an XML node or element. --- PS: Your document is still structurally (that is, severely) invalid.
