AHHHHH....the trick is to select the book-chapter on the node bar at the top of the window and then insert. This works, but it is not explained like that in the tutorial. This is okay for most elements to select 'insert' within the text and insert a like or similar element. But, it looks like for main items, you have to select on the node bar.
I need to get into the basics first and then I will correct the 'invalid' items. I need also to fully check if the output format is conducive to the other items here that follow on from the docbook file.
