--> If you didn't upgrade your copy of XMLmind XML Editor Standard Edition v3.5.2, the "Convert Document" submenu couldn't have disappeared like this. You have probably changed something in your working environment or may be your copy is corrupted. The cure is to uninstall everything and then to reinstall everything: [a] Uninstall XMLmind XML Editor Standard Edition v3.5.2. [b] Make sure to delete by hand: * XXE install directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\XMLmind_XML_Editor). * Your user preferences directory (e.g. C:\Document and Settings\mau\Application Data\XMLmind). [c] Reinstall a copy of XMLmind XML Editor Standard Edition v3.5.2. You'll find everything you need here: http://www.xmlmind.com/archive/xmleditor/3.5.2/ [d] *Before* installing the add-ons you need, please use "Options|Preferences", "Install Add-ons" section, remove all the URLs found in the "Download add-ons from these servers" list, then add this single URL: http://www.xmlmind.com/archive/xmleditor/3.5.2/list-3_5_2.xxe_addon (More info. in http://lupo/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/help/com.xmlmind.xmleditapp.dialog.PreferencesEditorDialog.html#installAddonsOptions) [e] Install normally all the add-ons you need. --> If you decide to upgrade to Personal Edition. Some explanations about the "Convert Document" submenu: The "Convert Document" submenu of XMLmind XML Editor Standard Edition used to contain entries such as "Convert to RTF", "Convert to PDF". These entries were not functional in Standard Edition. They only worked in Professional Edition. This was misleading for the user so we removed them starting from v3.6 (which happens to be first version of Personal Edition). Now, when a functionality is missing from Personal Edition, you'll not find menu items, toolbar buttons, etc, for it. Note that Personal Edition does not allow to convert DocBook to *any* other format, including XHTML. That's why the "Convert Document" submenu is entirely missing.
