The file chooser of the Attributes tool always worked this way. Making it work another way may be convenient for some cases and inconvenient in some other cases, therefore we are not convinced that we must change this. The workaround is to double-click on the image placeholder. A specialized dialog box should appear. And because it is more specialized than the file chooser of the Attributes tool, it behaves as expected.
