Hello all:

I'd like to take you up on your offer to "insist on the importance of a
feature" -- and then also add what I believe is a very closely-related
request.

I found the following on the "Annoying Behaviors" list:

"Current search and replace facility should be able to find and replace
text contained in text fields inserted in the document view as generated
content."

I agree. The application (which is great, btw) finds words you are
seeking to replace--even if they are in referenced files. And you are
even allowed to hit the REPLACE button. But (gadzooks!) no change is
made to the found word you are trying to replace. I'm guessing the final
step of actually making the change is hard to implement, which is why it
hasn't been done yet?

Along the same lines: The same/similar behavior occurs when using the
spell-checker. The application finds misspelled words in files copied
into a modular document by reference. It also allows you to enter a
suggested correction. But then the correction is not made. [sigh]

The only workaround I've found is to do CTRL + SHIFT + E to edit the
referenced file where the typo or the term-to-be-replaced is found.
However, having to go through these steps is definitely "annoying."

I'm working on the most current available Personal Edition version
3.6.2. Any idea when or if these capabilities might be added?

Best regards,
Pierce
