Neither of the two XXE 4.4 applet demos available at http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/xxe_applet.html works for me. I always end up with an almost empty framed area just saying "Error. Click for more information" (translated from German).
Clicking inside the area opens the Java console which shows "Class com.xmlmind.xmleditapp.applet.Applet not found" (again translated from German) and java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.xmlmind.xmleditapp.applet.Applet . My system has: Ubuntu 8.04 Firefox 3.0.10 with Java(TM) Plug-in 1.6.0_13-b03 (and a firewall with a proxy...) So the system requirements you state should be met. However, I am not sure how to fulfil the requirement "The applet must be signed using a digital certificate." How can I get the applet demos to run? Yves
