The configuration allowing to edit W3C XML Schemas has been unbundled and is now available as an *add-on*. You seem to have an old version of this add-on installed on your Windows XP machine. Please remove it[*] as this old version is unlikely to function properly with XMLmind XML Editor v4.4. Now, please use "Options|Install Add-ons", select the add-on called "W3C XML Schema configuration ", click OK, then after the add-on has been installed, restart XMLmind XML Editor as instructed. Please install such add-on on both the (now cleaned up) Windows XP machine and the Vista machine. --- [*] I strongly recommend to completely clean up your Windows XP machine. In order to do that, please [1] uninstall all the copies of XMLmind XML Editor found on the Windows XP machine; [2] delete by hand your user preferences directory. You need to delete by hand something like (or the German equivalent): * C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_NAME\Application Data\XMLmind\XMLEditor4\ * AND ALSO POSSIBLY, C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_NAME\Application Data\XMLmind\XMLEditor\
