First of all, thank you for your feedback. Your suggestion certainly makes sense. However this feature is truly useful only when you very often need to convert the master XML document to other formats while you are editing parts of this document (for example, to check that everything looks good in print and/or to check olinks[*]). We don't think that this need is a common one and in order to keep XXE as lean and mean as possible, we try to very carefully select the features, whether major or minor, we add to our XML editor. Therefore, we are sorry but we have to reject your request for enhancement. --- [*] When a document set is opened, the link and xref elements are automatically checked against all the members of the set, and not just against the file being edited.
