J. Friedrich,

I have a sort of solution for at least one of your issues:

Converting .pdf the font is times new roman or something alike. We are using
Verdana. I already changed the standard CSS Stylesheet in the options, but
the .pdf fonts are still serifed. How can I change this?

Use the instructions at this link supplied in Hussein's reply.

t.part.ConversionParametersEditor.html
Add body.font.family but use the value sans-serif instead of verdana. This
gets you closer at least.

I don't understand what you are asking about sections. They nest themselves
based on context.

As far as image size, I usually control it by specifying the width, but
occasionally that doesn't work, and I have not figured out what is different
in those cases.
