The W3C XML Security working group [1] has been working on a version 2.0 of XML
Signature, Canonical XML and XPath that offers performance, usability and
other improvements. We have a set of draft specifications, including
requirements, [2] that have received working group review. We are seeking
those interested in further review and implementation.

Although much interest in information representation in protocols appears to
have moved toward JSON, I believe XML remains very relevant to document-based
use cases. The Canonicalization 2.0 specification may also be of interest in
other contexts apart from XML Signature 2.0.

Review comments may be sent to the mail list noted in the drafts. If you are
interested in interop participation please let me know.

The editors drafts in the first column have additional updates subsequent to
the latest publications.

Thanks

regards, Frederick
